After he loses his mother, his father remarries Nilambari, who is plotting to kill his father. While his father blindly trusts Nilambari, she conspires against him to acquire his property for her children. A clause forbids her and stands in her way of doing this. The clause states that Mutharasan’s wife must sign and so Nilambari brings her niece, Shwetha, to get her married to Mutharasan.
