According to the recent reports, the release date for ‘Aranmanai 4’ has been postponed to 3rd May. Initially it was to release by April end. However, it was pushed further due to Vishal’s upcoming movie ‘Rathnam’, which is releasing on the same day.
This is probably because Sundar C has made a name for himself with every installment of ‘Aranmanai’. Naturally, he wouldn’t want to take chances. Since the past few months, things haven’t gone well for Tamil cinema.
‘Aranmanai’ started as a horror comedy movie in 2014. The film became a surprise success, earning more than 65 crores worldwide. The film was followed by two more installments, each with a slight difference in the main cast. Yet, all of them emerged as commercial successes, with ‘Aranmanai 3’ managing to defy expectations despite the restrictions posed by the COVID 19 pandemic in 2021.
