Tamil Tv Show Maanada Mayilada Season 5

Maanada Mayilada is one of the most appreciated reality shows by the Indian audience, especially Tamilians. It is a dance competition that was started in 2005 and aired on ‘Kalaignar TV'. The director, producer and one of the judges for almost all seasons of this show is the most popular choreographer the industry, Kala.

Season 5 of Maanada Mayilada started on Feb 21, 2010. The judges were Brindha Master, Kushboo, Rambha and Namitha. The first prize was a house near Pondicherry which was sponsored by Anugraha Integrated Township. There were a total of eight pairs of competitors named Azhar and Jennifer, Madhan and Pooja, Kumaran Thangarajan Kumaran Thangarajan is an Indian artist, Born on M >> Read More... and Suhashini Raju, Fayaz and Varsha, Rehman and Shivani, Kiran and Leelavathi, Bala and Swetha as well as Karthick and Pooja. Their respective choreographers were Ramesh(for Azhar and Jennifer), Bala (for Madhan and Pooja), Anthony (for Kumaran Thangarajan and Suhashini Raju as well as Fayaz and Varsha), Rajesh(for Rehman and Shivani), Prem (for Kiran and Leelavathi) , Sandy(for Bala and Swetha) and Chandru(for Karthick and Pooja). Gokul, Tamizh and Sukumar were the captivating entertainers of the season.

This season was different from earlier seasons mainly due to the fact that:

• Anthony was the only choreographer that was in-charge of two pairs of contestants.

• Kala Master Kala is an Indian choreographer and a reality TV s >> Read More... was not an official judge. She only provided the contestants with feedback/opinions.

• The rules were modified and it was decided that there will not be any elimination till the day of semi-finals.

• There were cash prizes for the viewers who had watched the show on a daily basis in Kalaignar TV too

. During this show, Rambha(one of the judges) was pregnant due to which director Kala decided to replace her permanently with Kushboo. All these significant changes took place during the 150th week of the show.

The winner of season 5 was the exemplary pair, Bala and Swetha. Sandy, being their choreographer also received a cash prize. The first runner-up was Rehman and Shivani and the second runner-up was Kiran and Leelavathi. The prizes were distributed by the well-known dancer Prabhu Deva Story soon >> Read More... and gorgeous actress Nayantara. The grand finale took place on 22 nd October, 2010 in Abu Dhabi.
