Kittigadu is an old Telugu serial which was broadcast in the year 1990-1991. It is one of the most liked and most cherished childhood serials of many adults. The show was telecasted on DD Natoinal Hydrabad first. The first season of the show featured a total of 13 episodes, which were telecast once a week. The first season of the show was so successful that the second season following the first was released very soon. The second season too, consisted of 13 episodes.
The show was produced by Vaishnavi Enterprises and each episode is half-an-hour long. It is a children’s serial, which featured stars like Kutty Padhmini, a predominant South-Indian movie actress, Hariprasad Murali Mohan, Master Rajasekar and Baby Kalyani.
The plot is centered on a small boy and his pet monkey and their adventures with their other friends. The protagonist of the show is a mischievous but clever boy who befriends a monkey and keeps it as his pet. The various episodes of the show feature daily adventures in the protagonist’s life. Some of these adventures take place in the primary school which the boy attends, while others take place in the village in which he resides along with his friends. The boy is loved by his parents and family, but he is often scolded and punished because of his naughtiness and playfulness.
