COMEDY EXPRESS is a reality TV show that conducts hunt for finding the best comedy troop in the country. The show provides a platform for talented groups to showcase their talent in the field of comedy. The show begins with twelve teams which are selected with pre show audition and the best troop among them is selected based on the last remaining team through weeks of elimination. Each team is selected to the next round based on their current performance. All the teams have to come up with new and innovative skit ideas every time they perform. Based on their performance and creativity teams are selected to the next round. The team that fails to impress the judges with their performance fails to qualify for the next round.

The show that is aired by the ASIANET TV at the 4:30 pm slot has garnered good TRP'S and positive reviews. The show has successfully reached its target audience due to the presence of innovative and fresh comedy skits that are performed by the contesting teams. The show is hosted by Shilpa bala. The judges are well known celebrities thus providing credibility to the show.

M.G. Sreekumar, Rachna narayanankutty and Anoop chandran are the deciding panel. The winners of the competition are presented with a cash price of fifteen lakh rupees with the runners up getting four lakh and 50,000 thousand for the second runner up.
