Swapnam is a mega serial which was telecasted on Asianet television channel during 2003-2004. This family drama was produced by Mathrubhumi Television.
The story of Swapnam is all about a family and their unanticipated problems. The main characters are Vishwanatan, his wife Vasumati and daughter Mydhili. Mydhili falls in love with Edward D'Sousa and decides to get married with her parents’ permission. But Edward who left for his native place never returned back and Mydhili gave birth to a daughter Janaki in the meantime. Vishwanatan and his wife Vasumati cooks up a story of the being found discarded, but their friends and relatives have their own suspicions. Mythili and Janaki go through many emotional situations and the serial has very intense scenes to portray the relationship. Mydhili gets married to another man without revealing the facts which complicates the story further. Mydhili’s husband is Balashankar and they shared a bitter relationship.Â
