This is a Malayalam soap opera telecasted on Asianet. The show is a family drama, and it is all about the struggles one has to go to achieve something in their career. The program covered prime time slot on Asianet from 2005 to 2006 with more than 200 successful episodes. The program aired Monday to Friday at 7 in the evening. The show was produced by Yantra Media.
The program revolves around a female protagonist name Devapriya Raman played by a brilliant actress Kausalya. It is her dream to become IAS and serve her country. Thanichu focuses on how the life of IAS aspirant changes to achieve her dream job. She clears the exam and becomes an IAS officer. Now she starts fighting against crimes, and her only aim is to remove all the illegal work happening around her area. Sometimes, she gets victory and she had to face failure in her attempts due to some pressure given by higher officials.
