Malayalam Tv Show Puthuvalsara Aashamsakal

Puthuvalsara Aashamsakal is a Malayalam reality show that was aired on the channel Asianet Plus. The show was aired during Vishu 2017. The show had its first season in 2017. Vishu is celebrated in the month of April every year. As per the solar cycle of the Hindu calendar, this the first day of the month called Medam. Hence this day is considered as the Hindu New Year in the state of Kerala and nearby Tulu region in coastal Karnataka. This day falls in the middle of the month of April as per the Gregorian calendar. It is also called the Malayalam New Year.

Many other states in India also celebrate their new year around this time of the year. They are called Baisakhi in Punjab, Poila Baisakh in West Bengal, Bihu in Assam, etc. The show is basically a collection of a few smaller shows that are compiled and telecasted on the day of Vishu as a celebration of the day. The show has had only one season sofar and the season had two episodes. Both these episodes were telecasted on the same day, 14th April, on the day of Vishu. The first episode is about all the movies that have released or are due to release during the time of Vishu.
