Suzhal (the vortex) is an Amazon Original series in Tamil language which is also available in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. This thriller series was released on 17th June 2022. Created by the makers of the movie Vikram Veda, Gayatri, and Pushkar and directed by Bramma and Anucharan, the series starts with an eerie scene of a person chasing a young girl in the woods and builds up at a good pace. The series lets the audience immerse in it through the aspects of suspense and religion. It also throws light on situations where rich people, such as the CEO of the factory in the series, bribe the police in their favor. The story initially starts off with workers protesting in front of their workplace, the factory, only to be found burning at night. The CEO who owns the factory suspects Shanmugum (R. Prathiban), the leader behind the protest, is responsible for this crime. However, the CEO’s father denies it.
