Colin Hoult

Colin Hoult is a British actor, comedian, writer, and radio host. He was born on May 15, 1979, in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, England. He studied at Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre. He is best known for playing handyman Geoff in Derek in Channel 4 Network (UK). He also appeared in Mr. Bean (1990) in a special funeral episode as a mourner.

Colin is well known for entertaining with his perfect time comedy. He is recognized as one of the best comedians in Britain (UK). He hosts his live shows, which are applauded and received him an honored loyal audience. He worked in many TV shows like After life- Series 2, 3 as Ken, Murder in Successville, Russell Howard's Good News- Series 1 at BBC Network (2009) as an Ensemble actor, and so forth.

Colin has been an active radio host from the early days of his career. He hosted House on Fire (BBC Radio 4, 2010), Out to Lunch (BBC Radio 2, 2008), Rudy's Rare Records (BBC Radio 4), Agatha Christie's Crooked House (BBC Radio 4), Colin and Fergus's Digi Radio (BBC Radio 7), Buy Me Up (BBC Radio 2), Regressed (BBC Radio 4), 28 Acts in 28 Minutes (BBC Radio 4) and many more.

In 2004, Colin Hoult and actor/comedian Fergus Craig won the Writers Guild Award for Comedy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Colin Hoult has been performing live stand-up comedy for years. Between 2004-2006 he and stand-up comedian-actor Fergus Craig has performed stand-up shows, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In 2010, he completed a solo show, Enemy of the world at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. And in 2011, he performed an Infemo stand-up show at the same festival.

Some of the best characters he played on variety shows and live stand-up made him a prominent comedian-actor in the UK fan base. One such character is Anna Mann (best-reviewed comedy shows by British Comedy Guide), AJ, Ken. These characters were critically acclaimed and got the best reactions from the audiences.
