The American film and television fraternity have witnessed some of the very perseverant and heart winning directors in the last few decades. One among them is director John Whitesell. He is a dedicated director as well as a producer. He has a good experience in filmmaking too. John was born in Lowa Falls city the US. Born to Patricia and John Patrick Jack Whitesell, he is one among the four sons. Sean, Christopher, and Patrick are his brothers. John studied at Simpson College Indianola Iowa. His passion and a keen interest in direction made him pursue acting and direction at Circle in the Square. He started his career in 1984 by working for small TV series. He was the director and producer for an episode of ‘Guiding Light.’

This fictional series was a long show and as per Guinness Book of World Records, it is the longest running drama show in the American history. Its last episode was aired in 2009 on CBS television. He is a recipient of a Daytime Emmy Award for Guiding light. Then he became the executive producer of ‘Search for Tomorrow’ and directed episodic for ‘Another World.’ He left no stone unturned to accomplish a dominant place. The movie received an average response. He continued with the saga of television direction. He worked upon solo episodes of ‘Someone like Me’, ‘Pig Sty’, ‘Damon’, ‘Costello,’ and ‘The Cosby Mysteries.’ In 1995 he directed a short film ‘Clarissa.’ His directorial ‘Pearl’ won a good amount of appreciation. He is the man behind the perfectly humorous ‘Cosby’ and ‘Grown Ups.’ His big screen film ‘See Spot Run’ released in 2001. ‘House Blend’ and ‘Humor me’ were his other television movies. He has been the director for award winning show ‘Girl meets the world’ and ‘Hot in Cleveland’.

Be it his shows or movie there was a novelty and unique sense of humor which was unmatchable. An average appraisal never deterred him from directing. This spirit is what makes John so special. John has gained mass recognition after his movie ‘Malibu’s most wanted’. The 2006 ‘Big Momma’s House 2’ was a tremendous work by him. It received the BMI Film & TV Award.
