Saraswathi Vani Balgam is an Indian writer, director, creative producer, and consultant with several award-winning shorts and documentaries to her credit. She is a self-made independent filmmaker who has come a long way from working at the acclaimed visual effects firm Rhythm & Hues to launching her own business, an R&H team of artists that took home Oscars for Life of Pi and The Golden Compass. She was also the President of Women in Animation India for over ten years. Vani Saraswathi Balgam has predominantly worked on several Hollywood productions, including Night at the Museum, X-Men, and The Chronicles of Narnia. Seetha Lakshmi is Vani's mother. Vani is also working on a live-action feature film. She is also collaborating with Unreal Engine artists and a group of producers in the United States who have won Emmy awards. She has a team of Indians, Americans, and Canadians focused on creating original material from India.
