Camila Mendes

Camila Carrara Mendes is an American actress. She was born on June 29, 1994, in Virginia, United States. Her parents, Victor and Giselle Mendes are Brazillian. Camila has a sister named Kiara Moreno. She grew up spending an enormous amount of her childhood moving from one place to another, but she passed most of her time in Florida.

The actress completed her schooling from American Heritage School and graduated from New York University with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts. As a child, she used to take part in a lot of plays at school, and she described herself as an attention-seeking child. She enjoyed acting and knew that she wanted to follow the path of show business.

She began her acting career with commercial advertising. She appeared in an advertising campaign for IKEA. In 2016, Camila bagged the role of Veronica Lodge in the teen drama, " Riverdale Riverdale is an English TV serial released on Netf >> Read More... ." Playing the role of Veronica in the sitcom, which is set on the popular Archie Comic was the turning point of Camila's career.

When asked about her role, Mendes expressed immense joy in saying that this was something completely unexpected and it was like a dream. The character she plays has different layers of personality. When asked about her experience of playing the character of the wealthy sophomore, Veronica Lodge, the actress confessed that it is the one thing that she loves, mostly because her character is Latina. It is also notable that her actual hair is brown, and she has to dye it black for her role.

In 2018, the actress starred in "The New Romantic," a movie about a struggling college student. Camila played the part of Morgan in the film. In the same year, the actress appeared in another movie, titled, "The Stand-in." In 2017, Camila won the Teen's Choice Award, for the Scene Stealer in "Riverdale."

While growing up, she couldn't make a lot of intimate friends and relationships because her family was constantly on the go. She confessed that though the kind of childhood she had was hard, it taught her to be flexible.

As a child, and even now her most significant dream is to have a home. Her desire is not just to buy a mansion to live in, but to find a safe place for herself within. Camila even got a tattoo under her right breast, which says, "To build a home."

Recently, the actress joined Project HEAL, a non-profit organization helping people with eating disorders. Camila had courage enough to confess that both she and her sister had eating disorders and to come forward and help people suffering from the disease. Not many people know that before becoming famous for playing the lovable Veronica Lodge, Camila's first job was to sell cotton candy, dressed as an elf.
