Charlyne Yi is a renowned actor, comedian, musician, and writer in America. Charlyne was born on 4 January 1986 in Los Angeles County, California. Charlyne has been showing excellent acting skills to the world since 2006. Charlyne identified themselves as “queer binary.” Charlyne’s interest is in performing, and they joined theatre during their schooling at Bloomington High School, where they began to perform. After completing high school, Charlyne did shows at The Steve Allen Theater and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Soon, Charlyne went to the University of California, Riverside, but soon left to follow their passion for comedy.

Charlyne began their screenwriting career with Paper Heart, which won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance Film Festival in 2009. They are known for voicing up against sexual harassment, and they left many projects due to the same reason. Charlyne never failed to fulfill their social responsibility; they enlisted Oxfam America in 2010 to aware the world about poverty and hunger.
