Mary Ann Mobley was a prominent and skilled actress in America who honestly served the nation with her acting. In 1959, she was honored with the title of Miss America and became the first-ever Mississippian to receive this honor.

This marked the beginning of her career as an actor in films and television. Mary debuted her career in television with "Be Our Guest."
