Gabriel Prokofiev is a Russian-British music composer, producer, DJ and director. He is a British composer from 1997 till the present. At the University of Birmingham, he studied composition and the University of York that he became a producer of dance, electro and hip hop. In 2003 he found the independent record label and nightclub Nonclassical. He found it a way of bringing classical music to youngsters. Gabriel has built up a large body of chamber works and he has composed seven concerts as well as many electronic works.
His works are being performed internationally. He also unites up with contemporary dancers. He also works as an event curator. He is one of the leading adherents of presenting classical music in none traditional venues. He regularly executes in nightclubs. Under Jonty Harrison in Birmingham, he studied electroacoustic composition. His first full-length opera Elizabetta was premiered in Bavaria by Regensburg Opera in 2019.
