Wayne Sharpe is a prominent film composer and music producer who has been awarded international awards and nominated for Emmys twice. He has committed his whole life to his career. Wayne has studied composition and audio engineering at SUNY Fredonia’s Tonemeister program. Wayne began working with Grammy Award Winner Rick James shortly after his graduation, which is regarded as the experience that led him to New York’s leading studios, where he achieved attention as a composer and producer who blended symphonic recording practice with electronic music.

Pearl Jam, Ron Carter, John Powell, Trixie Reiss (Crystal Method), and Queens of the Stone Age were among the artists he has known to cooperate. Wayne’s epic scale led to his scoring tv shows for the Olympics, CBS Evening News Theme, Showtime, CBS Election Theme, Face The Nation Theme, NYC Marathon Theme, Miss Universe, Miss USA, and the Discovery and History Channels are among the others. Also, NBC (The National Broadcasting Company), CBS, NBC Sports, NBA, BRAVO, IMG, HBO (Home Box Office), Warner Bros., and MSG Sports are his clients.

Intel, Maybelline, the brand L’Oréal, Cover Girl, NBA, Acuvue, the famous brand Pantene, Revlon, Mobil, Red Lobster, Slimfast, and McDonald’s are some of the products he has worked upon. Wayne has established himself as a creative force in the film industry thanks to his passion for movies and creating powerful, evocative soundtracks.

Southie and Pigeonholed, both independent films, are examples of his early work. Wayne also composed the music for several IMAX films and documentaries, as well as the Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie theme, the television show, and the music for Pokémon: The First Movie.

Wayne’s diverse talents gained him a reputation as a versatile composer who could transcend genre barriers and create a genuinely worldwide sound. He continued to work closely with Jha on the soundtracks for the critically acclaimed films Apaharan, Raajneeti (for which he received the Star Screen Award), and Aarakshan. Wayne recently established a new music theme for IMAX theatres around the world. His theme was recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and is presently being performed in over 1000 theatres across the globe.

He was asked to create the new theme for CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley by Man Made Music (founded by Joel Beckerman). Since May 2016, his composition has been played every late afternoon across the country, replacing the old version by Oscar-winning composer James Horner.
