Jane Goldman, full name Jane Loretta Anne Goldman, was born on 11 June 1970 (46 years old) at Hammersmith, London, England. She is an author, English screenwriter and producer by profession. She is very famous for her writing skills in association with Mathew Vaughn for Kingman: The Secret Service, X-Man: First Class, Kick-Ass as well as Stardust, all released in the years 2015, 2011, 2010, 2007 respectively. Both of them were appreciated a lot by critics for their work.
The first solo screenplay written by her was for The Woman in Black in the year 2012 which won “The Empire Award for The Best Horror” in the year 2013. She is also known for her writing skills for various books like Dreamworld (2000), the X-Files Book of the Unexplained (1997) and scripts for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children inspired by the novel having the same name, directed by
Tim Burton in last year. Between the years 2003-2004, she also presented her paranormal T.V. series called Jane Goldman Investigates.
She is married to Jonathan Ross, who is a broadcaster, in August 1988 and has 3 children; 2-daughters (Honey Kenney Ross and Betty Kitten Ross) and 1-son (Harvey Kirby Ross). She was awarded with Hugo Award and Glamour Award for Best Dramatic Presentation etc. Her first collection of writings was released in the year 1993. She was also seen playing a small role in short story with her husband in the year 1996 in the story-“The Facts in the Case of Departure of Miss Finch by Neil Gaiman’s”.After this the couple and Gaiman became very good friends
. If her professional career is to be discussed, one can say that she has given a lot to the book writing, T.V. and Film Making Industry. She worked for various newspapers and magazines as a journalist such as Cosmopolitan, Daily Star, Game Zone, etc. She became a freelance writer at the age of 19. She has expressed her talent of writing in some books. Her work includes her first book- Thirteen Something (1993). She has also written many other books like- her Street smarts, Sussed and Streetwise (1997), a teenager safety guide (1996), Do the Right Thing (2007), etc. which also include her own paranormal T.V. series.
She has also shown her fabulous work by being a production team member of the T.V. shows like The Big Fat Quiz of the Year. In the field of screenwriting along with Vaughn, she has also collaborated with Peter Strawghan for the drama-thriller
The Debt in the year 2011. She has also worked for an Israeli Film named HaHov directed by
John Madden in the year 2007. After so much of experience of journalism and screenwriting, she is working on various projects for the upcoming year. Some of them are Non-Player, inspired from the sci-fi comic; Dan Leno and the Limehouse Golem, inspired from the novel Peter Ackroycl. She is also working in collaboration with Paul Murray.The two of them are working on the adaptation of Anubis, a science fiction comedy short story.She has achieved a lot at the age of 46 and is putting her best efforts to do better.
