Grant Hill is a famous basketball player. He has played for National Basket Association (NBA), Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, and Los Angeles Clippers. He was awarded as the ACC Player of the Year and became an NCAA All American and NCAA Champion. He is a three-time winner of NBA Sportsmanship Award. Grant was born on 5 October 1972 in Dallas, Texas in the U.S.A. He is 6 feet and 8 inches in height and his full name is Grant Henry Hill. Grant’s father used to play in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. Hill attended the South Lakes School in Virginia and went to the University of Duke.

He started his career in 1994 and was active till 2013 at the small forward position. Grant married Tamia in 1999 and had two children with her. Grant became the ACC Player of the year in 1994 and had 1900 points to his credit. By the time he started his career Hill had 200 Steals, 100 blocked shots, 700 rebounds, and 400 assists. Hill joined the Detroit Pistons in 1994 and in the first season he became the first Pistons rookie to have 1000 points after Isiah Thomas and won the NBA Rookie Award of the year. During the second season, Grant won the Gold Medal in Summer Olympics Atlanta in 1996.

His term in Detroit Pistons ended in 2000, and he joined Orlando Magic. Grant’s career spanned for about seven years in Orlando Magic, and he did not do well in the starting of his contract with Orlando. Hill returned to form in the year 2004-05 but later after that, he got injured and could not perform well, throughout his contract with Orlando Magic. In 2007, he joined Phoenix Suns and performed good on the court after his surgery. After two years, he joined New York Knicks in 2009 but in 2010, he returned back to Phoenix Suns and became a sensation when Hill became first NBA Player to win first playoff series after 15 years in the league.

Hill’s contract with Phoenix Suns ended in 2012, and he signed a contract with Los Angeles Clippers in 2012. Due to bruise in the knee, he could not further pursue his career. Hill has made several appearances in TV and Films. He was next seen in an episode of Home Improvement in 1998. Hill did a video for Nickelback and the song was Rockstar. He is known for films like Mike and Mike in 2005 and On The Shoulder of Giants: The History of The Greatest Team You Never Heard Of. Hill has many endorsements, which are Nike, Adidas, Fila, Mc Donald’s, Tag Heuer and has done an advertisement for AT&T.
