Frances Elizabeth Bavier is commonly famous as Frances Bavier. She was a Famous American stage and television actress. Frances Bavier was born in New York City. She wanted to become a teacher when she was studying at Columbia University. Frances Bavier never married or she didn’t have any children. She was cast in the stage comedy The Poor Nut after completing her graduation from American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1925. After that, she appeared in many stage plays. The Point of No Return is one of her famous plays. She is best recognized for the role of Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith show Mayberry R.F.D. from 1960 to 1970. After that, she turned famous as Aunt Bee and people used to know her from this name. She did numerous film and also playing a range of supporting roles on television. Bavier did many movies.

Some of her famous films are Girls about Town in 1931, in which she played the character of Joy. Some of her famous television shows are Racket Squad, Hallmark Hall of Fame, City Detective, Dragnet, Waterfront, Damon Runyon Theater, The Eve Arden Show, 77 Sunset trip, Mayberry R.F.D., etc. In 1972, she took a break from her acting career and bought a home in Siler City, North Carolina. During 1972, People also said that she retired from acting but in 1974 she returned to acting in the family film Benji. She also used to write motivational letters to fans. In 1986, she became sick, and her health prevented her from taking part in the movie Return to Mayberry.

She suffered from heart disease as well as cancer. She died on 6 December 1989 at her home because of the Heart attack.
