Shailesh was born on 22 May 1966. He is an Indian musician, composer, singer, storyteller, writer, lyricist, Music distributor, and Music producer. He has worked in more than 20 Gujarati films and 700 Hindi and Bhojpuri films. His first film as a music composer was Laaju Ma Rahejo Manraj 1998.

In 2010, he won the Best Music Director by Dhara Gurjari Award for the film Gujarati Movie Sacha Re Shamna Mara Sajan Na. In 2014, he started his own event company named Rajkot Events. Their first event was an Audi-Video theme-based event named, Solah Shringar, which became quite famous. After this, he became a member of the Indian Performing Rights Society and is working to make this organization reach out to all potential artists across the country.
