Anil Kochar was born in Delhi. He was an Indian actor and had also worked in the field of direction. He was brought up in a Punjabi family. His father worked as a bank manager and his mother was a housewife. He started his career as a TV announcer on Doordarshan. He was extremely appreciated for his work as at that time he was the only male announcer in India. Then, he initiated the next step in his career and came to Bombay to become an actor. He was signed for a lead role in five films. He also worked as an assistant director and story writer for different TV serials. Due to his hard work and dedication, he earned a lot of respect and popularity. Then, he started making good-willed and spiritual movies. Some of his main works include- Kaise Kaise Rishte (1993), Din Dahade (1990), Ram Milai Jodi (1986), and Gaana aur Ranga (1994).
