Ameya Chavan

Ameya Chavan is a Cinematographer and Documentary Maker from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has his bachelor's degree in Production Engineering from Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering in 2006. After struggling for about eight years, he finally got a chance to work with Chinup Films. Ameya worked with them for two years. In 2015, he joined ICOMO Advertising Company, where he shot a few documentaries and corporate AVs. In 2016, Ameya shot his first independent feature film as a Cinematographer, Kaul - a calling. His name is nominated for the film Best Cinematography by Filmfare. In 2018, Ameya shot another film, Jaoon Kahan Bata Ae Dil, associated with Humaramovie.

The movie won an award (young critics) at MAMI Film Festival 2018. In 2019, he shot Rio fusion drinks digital ads with Dashami Studioz. After that, he worked with many companies, like Ocean Film Company Private Limited, Humaramovie, AADYOT Films, Film Brigade Studios LLP, Qench, and Gandharva's Productions. In 2020, Ameya shot a Hindi feature film Shot Circuit. He is also known for Dehradun Diary, Nagrik, and Lovefucked. He also shoots many short films, Savitri, British Council English for All, What Could Be the Name of The Story, and Chudiyan. In 2022, Chavan shot for Samaira as director of photography.
