Chitraarth or Chitraarth Singh is an Indian film director who has worked mainly in Bollywood movies and TV shows. He learned direction at FTII Pune and completed his graduation in 1975.

From his early childhood, he was fascinated by the art of filmmaking. He understood that a director is one who creates good cinema. Chitraarth's first film to be a hit at the theatres was Dil Humko Dijiye in the year 2014.

He has directed Ik Jind Ik Jaan in 2006, Shaheed Uddham Singh in 2000, Aparadhi in 1992, and Chann Pardesi in 1980. He has assisted Lekh Tandon Ji in several films and was a part of the crew of Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye.

He is one of the first directors to have patronized television in India in the 1980s. He is an intelligent, thoughtful, and ingenious director. He believes in bringing a much better script and feels that his resources have not been fully encashed by the producers. His scripts are mainly about the Indian History and he is working on a script based on Indian freedom struggle in the latter part of the 19th century.

He believes in creating films that are enjoyable to people, and does not stick to a particular category. He has been given the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Punjabi.
