Vedd V Rawtani is an Indian cinematographer, whose work in short films and web series has made him a well-known figure in media. He has worked extensively in the Hindi film industry. Vedd grew up in the large bustling city of Mumbai with a strong passion for cinema. He spent his early years making videos with a Handycam device gifted to him by his sister. In school, he developed his talents as an actor and writer by actively participating in plays and acting competitions, for which he bagged many awards. During his days in college, he chased after part-time editorial jobs and began directing amateur films. He worked in collaboration with the director, Anuj Dhawan, to write and film the movie, ‘Two Faced,’ at the young age of 17. The short film was a huge critical success. Vedd went on to join the prestigious ‘Whistling Woods’ training academy, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Film-Making, as the youngest in his batch with a specialization in direction. In 2016, after a year following his graduation, he joined hands with his fellow filmmaker, Prasun Jindal to form the studio, ‘Filmi Fiction.’ Through this company, the group spent several long, hard months creating the well-known web series, ‘Pyaar On The Rocks.’ The 2017 series is a comedy-drama about the intrusion of love in the carefree life of some young bachelors.

He also directed the movies, ‘Uncle On The Rocks’ and ‘Ek Tha Raja.’ Vedd’s dedication to cinema made him one of the youngest cinematographers to find himself at the Dada Saheb Phalke Awards show.
