Purnendu Bose is best known for working as COO (Chief Operating Officer) at Sahara One Channel. He was born in Durgapur, West Bengal. He completed his schooling in Durgapur and then moved to Kolkata for further studies. He completed his PGDMM (Marketing Management) from Sister Nivedita College, Kolkata, in 1989. He worked as a salesman in Durgapur but later moved to Mumbai in hopes of better opportunities. Soon, in 1997, he became vice president of STAR Network for special projects only. In Mumbai, he became the COO of Hungama TV in 2003, where he worked for two years. Then, he moved to work for Sahara One as the COO for a year (2005-2006), where he gave a new look and position to the channel. In 2019, he became the vice president of Reliance Education. He is the founder and director of ITI, The Speciality Bengali Restaurant Chain. He has been the consultant and vice president at Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd. since 2014.
