Salim Bijnori

Salim Bijnori (born January 8, 1975) is an Indian lyricist best known for his work in Hindi cinema.
Salim Bijnori was born on 5 December 1960 in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, India. He attended Aligarh Muslim University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in arts. Bijnori began his career as a lyricist in 1984 with the film Prem Nagar. He has since written lyrics for over 500 films. His notable work includes the movie Beta (1992), Raja Hindustani (1996), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Veer-Zaara (2004), Jab We Met (2007), 3 Idiots (2009) and P.K.P.K. (2014).In addition to his work in films, Bijnori has also written lyrics for several television shows, including C.I.D., Kaun Banega Crorepati, and Crime Patrol.

Bijnori has won several awards for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist for the song "Tum Se Hi" from the film Jab We Met (2007).
