Samir Soni is a well-known Hinidi television and film actor. Born on 29th September 1968, be studied at St. Xavier’s School, Delhi and graudated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he began exploring his acting talents. He worked for a while in
New York as an investment banker, before returning to India to kick-start his modeling career.
He made his television debut as a Navy Officer on Samandar, and appeared on Doordarshan’s A Mouthful of Sky, before debuting on the large screen as Uditanshu Tandon in China Gate (1998). He followed that up by playing Manish in Lajja (2001), Sameer Shastri in Kabhi Tum Kabhi Hum (2002), and Vishal in Dance like a Man (2003). He earned a name for himself by playing the lead roles of Jai in Kahan Ho Tum (2003), and Ramesh Kulkarni in Basti (2003), and supporting roles of Sanjay Malhotra in Baghban (2003), Ram in Dil Kya Chahta Hai (2004), Sunil in Vivah (2006),
Rahul Arora in Fashion (2008), Veer Kapoor in I Hate Luv Storys (2010), and a cameo in I, Me Aur Main (2013).
On television, he won a great deal of recognition for his roles as Purab Mehra in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi,
Shekhar Gupta in Saaksshi, Kunal Chopra, the lead in
Parichay – Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka, and Yash Thakur in Kumkum. His role in 'Parichay' won him multiple awards for Best Actor.
He was also a contestant on Big Boss Season 4, and hosted NDTV Good Times’s show, Cracking The Code.
He had a failed marriage with Rajlakshmi Khanvilkar before settling down with
Neelam Kothari, with whom he has a daughter named Ahana.
