Jayanta Pathak is a legendary name in the Bollywood Music and Film industry. Popularly known as the King of Remixes, Jayanta has decades of exemplary work credited to his name. He is a Music Composer, Producer, and Recording Engineer. His albums constitute the music of the ‘90s and 2000s. With his unique composition style and rigor for music, he made his way into the Bollywood industry after switching lanes from engineering. He studied Civil Engineering at the MN National Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1991. He came to Mumbai in 1992 and joined a company, but only after a year his passion for music took him to work with the Chromatic Studios as a Music Composer, Producer, and Recording Engineer (1993-2005).

There he worked on producing and recording several background scores for feature films, television series, advertisements, short films, documentaries, and albums and composed many original soundtracks. He managed various recording studios from 1997 to 2005 in Mumbai. He turned to freelancing and continued working on music from 2005 to 2009. During this period, he also worked as an audio-visual studio manager, associated screenplay writer, and assistant director for films and music videos. He worked in alliance with world-famous artists, including Melissa Bell from Soul 2 Soul band and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, across a wide range of genres.

He has worked on more than 40 major music albums, including Josh, Jalwa (the highest-selling remix album of the late 90’s in South Asia), Back to Disco (a top-charting remix album of the late 90’s and early 2000s), War of the DJs, Jazba, Bollywood Dream Themes, Umang, Hot Stuff-Best Remixes of 2004, Romanov Party Mania 2 among others. He is also known for Charas: A Joint Effort (2004), If You Could Hear My Own Tune (2011), The Golden Arm (short, 2012), Strain (short, 2013), The Laserwolf (short, 2014), The Shattered Mind (2014), Tomorrow Never Fails (short, 2015). He was the playback singer for Jaane Jaan Dhoonta Phir Raha (1999). He moved to Atlanta, USA, in 2008 and has worked actively in music ever since.
