Geeta Sahai is a respected filmmaker, writer, scriptwriter, and social entrepreneur. She comes with an experience of more than 25 years in the Media Industry, that includes Television, Radio, films, and Print Media. Her full name is Geeta Lal Sahai. She completed her bachelor’s in arts from Miranda House, Delhi University majored in history. She then did her masters in arts again, majoring in history from Delhi University. She learned the art from Queen Mary’s School. She won a Bronze Karamveer Chakra in 2014, an event organized by iCONGO – International Confederation of NGO in partnership with the United Nations, and she again won Silver Karamveer Chakra in the year 2019.

She started her career as an editor with Rashtriya Sahara in 1992. Her passion for writing, production, direction, and music grew with her. She has a unique and warm taste while looking out the talents and skills. Her film I REMEMBER, released in the year 2018, has won many national and international awards in film festivals. As an independent writer and director, she has worked on many documentaries, serial scripts, and a campaign for intellectual disability for a TV news channel. She wrote many short stories. She has associated with many big brands like India Today, Worldspace India, HMV Saregama India ltd, National Foundation, and Home TV on different designations.

She has written the non- fiction book Beyond Music, Maestros in Conversation, published interviews with the respected Hindustani Classical Music pioneers like the late Pt Ravi Shankar, Dr. Gangubai Hangal Bio coming soon... >> Read More... , and some more artists. It contains 60 interviews and was published by Niyogi books in 2015. She also had worked as a Consultant Programming Head with a TV news channel and Programme Director, Radio Gandharv, Worldspace Satellite Network. She co-founded Heart & Soul Media and also she is the Founder and President of Swayam Foundation, a Non-Profit Organization situated in India. She is a true inspiration for today’s youth.
