Karishma Naina Sharma

Karishma Naina Sharma is a model, television host, and film producer of Indian- American origins. She was born in Fiji Islands. Karishma Naina Sharma was born to Indian parents, Sushma Devi Sharma and Anil Rishikesh Sharma. After her birth, her family moved to Sydney, Australia, where her father practiced as a chartered accountant and her mother ran multiple enterprises as an entrepreneur. Karishma's younger brother, Neil Sharma, also pursued a career in the film and television industry and works as an assistant director in Sydney and Melbourne.

Karishma went on to pursue a Media and Communications degree at Macquarie University, specializing in film production. She was selected to work at the Sydney Olympic Broadcasting Organization (SOBO), specializing in camera, and later received a full scholarship to William Paterson University in New Jersey, USA, where she honed her skills in filmmaking and writing. Following her graduation, Karishma began her career as a camera assistant for the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000. She then worked in the programming department of Foxtel and Sony Australia before going independent. Karishma interned with George Lucas on Star Wars Return of the Sith and worked as the Director's assistant for Academy Award-winning director Errol Morris, and Jane Campion's Holy Smoke.

From 2002-2006, Karishma served as a production manager for over 60 television commercials and shows for major production houses and television networks in Sydney. From April 2007 to January 2016, Karishma relocated to Mumbai, India, where she expanded her skills in writing and producing. She wrote and presented TV shows for BBC Worldwide, TLC, CBS, and Discovery India, lectured on film and television production, and created the film syllabus at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.

In 2013, Karishma joined Balaji Motion Pictures, one of the largest film and television studios in India, as an assistant creative producer in the film division.
