Sangita Misra

Sangita Misra [a resident of Kolkata] was a renowned script writer who wrote stories for various films, television series and documentaries. Concerning her career details, she was an active member of the Writers Association and WIMPA Producer Association. Sangita Misra worked for many reputed magazines, featured films and worked as an editor for the magazine Zugaddya. She remained a researcher, scriptwriter, and conceptualizer for ad films for corporate and merchandise houses. She also used to be a producer during her career life.

Sangita Misra began her professional career in 2003 with script writing for films and TV series like 'Maha Manaber Sagar Tire' (on ATN World Channel), for which she wrote at least ten episodes. She also worked on documentaries like Bhul and those made on the social welfare organization Bharat Sebashram Sangha. She has written many stories for programmes that used to be televised on channels like Zee Bangla, Kolkata Doordarshan, and Ne Channel Guwahati.

She worked for many series, including nonfiction stories, TV series, musical series, travel series, and many other programmes that used to be telecast on the CTVN Plus channel. She also worked on the film Zameen (produced by Umesh Kumar Agarwal of SD Movies and released in March 2012) and wrote the story. She died in October 2020 because of kidney issues that she had been suffering from.
