Raktima Mukherjee is an Indian singer. She was born in Raniganj, West Bengal, Kolkata. She started learning music at the age of 3 from her mother, Rupali Mukherjee. Her father was then posted in A.I.R Agartala, Tripura. She also learned Manipuri and Kathak dance forms in Tripura from Rabindra Bhavan. Raktima has won many state and National Level competitions along with her studies in Kendriya Vidyalaya. Apart from learning music from her mother and maternal aunts, she learned music from Shri Ardhendu Adhikari in Raniganj, Kolkata.
She started learning music in Bengali light music and Ghazal and Bhajan from Smt. Anushuaa Mukherjee. In 1996 she participated and won her first-ever T.V. musical show of Zee Bangla. Then in,1997 she participated in All India Radio Music Competitions and created a record by winning three prizes in Bhajan, Ghazal, and Shyamasangeet. In 2007 she worked in a movie named Mr. Hot Mr. Kool, a hit back then.
