Vinod Hasal, the Classical Kathak exponent, comes from a family of dancers and artists for the last nine generations in Jaipur Gharana. He is the eighth generation on this list. He received his training from Nritya Acharya Guru Ganesh Hiralal Hasal, an authority today at Jaipur Gharana School of Teaching. He has worked for the Government of India (ICCR-Delhi), (ICC - Indian Cultural Center- Johannesburg South Africa), (Indian High Commission and Indian Consulate) for 15 years.

He has participated in many International Dance Conferences and has given various in-depth lectures on Dance at various Universities. He was awarded the Dhaymanti Joshi- Menaka Trophy for being the Best Dancer in Maharashtra in 1986 and 1987. He received HIND RATNA AWARD in 2003 from the late president Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam at the first Pravasi ceremony in Delhi.

He was honored with the Nritya Vidh Award in 2011 and 2012 by the Sarfojiraje Bhosale Institute (Mumbai). He was honored by Bhakti Kala (ISCKON - 1992). He was honored by ICCR (Delhi-2005) for producing the world's first African Classical Kathak Dance. He has been honored by the South African and Indian governments for his outstanding work in the African township, for integrating Indo-Afro Culture. He has been honored for his 15 years of service at Delhi ICCR with the Government of India. 

For the past nine generations, he has been getting ready for Jaipur Gharana Dance Style. He is the only person who has taken Classical Kathak Dancing to South Africa and admired the whole masses for teaching in African townships. He has produced the FIRST African Dancer globally (Jaipur Gharana style). He has trained 36 qualifiers at Kathak Dance Graduates International. He is the Owner and Director of Drum Café (India) World's No.1 International Drumming Company, located in 28 countries Worldwide.

He is the Director of R.K Dance Theater Inc- (South Africa and India), Chairman of Savio's Alumni Trust (Mumbai), Mumbai Deputy Chairperson and Founder Kathak Kendra, Director and Co-Owner of Drum Café (India and UAE) World No.1 Interactive Drumming Company, Artistic Director at all the Institutions mentioned above. He is the Deputy Chairman of Sangeet and Nritya Academy.

Recently, Dr. Vinod Hasal performed for Drum Cafe at the prestigious Indian reality musical game; I-Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Performance has shown why Drum Cafe's collaborative team building idea has become such a worldwide success. Drs. Vinod Hasal a famous Classical Kathak dance teacher and director of Drum Cafe India, brought the Djembe playing drums by R.K. Dance Theater, to India. During the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa program, he led the audience in a dramatic way of unleashing an interactive African rhythm.
