Girish Kohli is a screenplay writer and author. He has written several popular Bollywood movies. He likes to write for himself rather than the world. Girish was born and brought up in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. Girish holds an engineering degree. He studied B. Tech. at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Mumbai. Girish was an avid reader since his childhood and began writing at the tender age of 14. Girish has written screenplays for movies like MOM (2017), Kesari (2019), and Hit: The First Case (2022). Girish wrote and directed a short film titled MR. Radish in 2020 during the lockdown.
Girish has directed and written another short film ‘Dhaaga’. Girish has also authored the book ‘Marathon Baba’ which was released in 2012 and became a bestseller instantly. He wrote the book in only six months. Girish is also a poet and has written poems in Hindi including Ghar, Pyaar, Khandar, Main, Dhokhe, Lohri, Mere Baad, and Ye Baras.
