Namo Kaul (born 28 November 1989), the director of Unacademy, received the National Teachers Conclave Award for Best Teaching and Pedagogy in 2018. He is married to Purnima Lodha and lives in Bangalore, Karnataka. MSMV (2000-2008) was his elementary school, and he graduated from the Vellore Institute of Technology (2008- 2012). He began working as a product developer at Misys in 2011 but quit in 2012 to pursue a career in teaching. He has been teaching JEE/NEET Physics for over five years.
He was instructing at Vedantu, the most popular online learning platform. It is an Indian online tutoring platform where teachers give online tutoring to students using a real-time virtual learning environment called WAVE (Whiteboard Audio Video Environment). It is based on a marketplace concept for instructors, in which students may explore, find, and select an online tutor to study. He now serves as the Director of Unacademy, a Bangalore-based Indian educational technology firm. Gaurav Munjal started the firm as a YouTube channel in 2010, and it was formed in 2015 by Munjal, Roman Saini, and Hemesh Singh.
