Lov Pathak

Lov Pathak is an Indian filmmaker, poet, and writer living in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was born and brought up in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He imbibed culture & character through the prism of Lucknow city. He shifted to Noida to pursue a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree like many of his peers. He married Pooja Batura, who is a Mumbai-based filmmaker. But his passion for filmmaking & writing brought him to Mumbai. When he was in school, Lov Pathak was an avid Hindi poetry reader. His writing poetry started five years back when he was disenchanted with everything around him. He never thought that his first poetry would ironically emerge while sitting in his car. It was a healing process where he began to express things in his own way. Every poetry from there on was to find hope & heal.

He just published a poetry book by the title “The Poetician – A Common Man’s Satire.” Lov Pathak has written about several things in his poetry collection. Also, he has written a few personal poems which are rather sentimental & loaded with emotions. He wrote stories & film scripts, but unfortunately, only a few materialized. As a writer, director, and producer, Lov Pathak has worked in the Hindi language horror thriller television series, "Parchhayee: Ghost Stories by Ruskin Bond” in 2019. He has written a web series that has been lapped up by an international platform. Also, he has written a social romantic comedy for a top-notch director. In 1990, his father got him a VCR and some cassettes of old Dev Anand & Guru Dutt films. He had a cassette library in the neighborhood. He traded those cassettes for new movies and spent that summer vacation watching almost two movies every day. This is when the fascination of storytelling seeded in him.
