Shailja Kejriwal

Shailja Kejriwal is an eminent writer and producer in the film and entertainment industry, known for creating cutting-edge ideas and content in the Bollywood industry. Shailaja has completed her schooling from the Modern High School in Kolkata. She has an MA in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University.  She has been a supreme name in the industry since 1998.  Shailaja started as an SVP and Programming Head with Star India Private Limited in January 1998 and pulled out in March 2007. Shailaja is popularly known for presenting the idea of the anthology series Star Bestsellers on Star Plus and K dramas on Indian television in the early 2000s. She was an EVP for Content and Communications on NDTV Imagine for three years. 

Shailaja has been a Chief Creative Officer for Special projects with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited since June 2013. She bridged the gap between India and Pakistan’s entertainment industry through the medium of Zee.  Shailaja presented the idea of telecasting Pakistani shows on the Zindagi TV channel in 2014. Shailaja took the initiative to produce Pakistani filmmakers on the Indian platform for Zeal for Unity. Shailaja is popularly known as a producer of Madaari in 2016, Lala Begum in 2016, Qarib Qarib Single in 2017, and Qaatil Haseenaon Ke Naam in 2021.
