Prithvi was born on 21 May 1983 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, to a well-fitted Kannada family. He came from a Business family based in Bangalore and was raised in that city only. He belongs particularly to the Kannadigas caste and is highly devoted to the Hindu Religion. He did his schooling at one of the nearby schools in the city and later completed graduation from one of the prominent Universities in Bangalore. Since childhood, he was a tennis enthusiast and eventually rose in that sport.

After some time, he became a professional tennis player due to his consistent hard work. Subsequently, he secured 42^nd rank at the India level and 6^th in State and attained enormous fame after that. But, he had to leave Tennis permanently due to his wrist injury. Afterward, he started something new and was seen hosting a few corporate events and functions.

Due to his excellent anchoring skills, he was offered various opportunities. Moreover, Prithvi became a part of the All India Radio in 2001. He was wholly devoted to his work, and his hard work earned him the award, RJ of the year Indian excellence in Radio in 2008. Besides working as the RJ, he has also been seen as an actor. In addition, he performed at the first edition of the International Radio Festival held in Zurich, Switzerland. At that time, he was the only Indian Jockey invited to perform at a Festival from India.
