Shamatmika Devi Sreekumar

Shamatmika Devi Sreekumar is a dancer, model, and anchor, who hails from Thiruvananthapuram. She is the founder of the Shamatmika School of Dance and Music at Poojapura, Thiruvananthapuram. She is interested in different dance styles like Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Western dance, and hip-hop dance. She learned to dance at the age of four. She has also performed at school and college programs. She is a B.Tech graduate. She started dance school at the age of 21. She realized that many women are willing to dance even after marriage. Many of them approached her to teach them semi-classical dance. She also teaches different dance styles for festivals. She says that she always gets excited when she performs on the stage; she feels satisfied when she receives appreciation from the audience. Apart from being a dancer, she is also a model. She entered modeling through a contest conducted by Manorama. She received second place in that contest. After that, she got offers for photoshoots and advertisements.

She is also an anchor. She has anchored in Kerala State Lottery Live Show. Her family was a great support to her. Her father is in the photography field and is also a cameraman. Her first portfolio was made with the photos taken by her father. She used photos clicked by her father for auditions. That brought luck to her. Her mother is a singer, and she teaches Music at Shamatmika School of Dance and Music. She balances her dance, model, and anchoring career in a systemized manner. This shows that our passion can make us do everything we want to do.
