from the movie Makaramanju in 2010. She also assisted Kerala State Chalchitra Academy chairman Kamal in the film Nadan in 2013. In 2017, she directed her first movie, Crossroad. From then, she started making several movies. Nayana has directed a segment Pakshikalude Manam and several Ad-films in India and abroad.
Later, in 2016, she worked as the private secretary of her mentor, Lenin Rajendran, who became chairman of Kerala State Chalchitra Academy. After the demise of her mentor Lenin Rajendran in 2019, Nayana was also found dead on 24th February 2019 at her residence Vellayabalam. She had been discovered as a low blood pressure patient and has kept under treatment in the past. Nayana Suryan died on her 29th birthday.
