Soby George Kalabhavan

Soby George is a very famous Malayalam director. He is infamous for leading Fr. Abel's Kalabhavan orchestra. Sobh was born to the Late Khora George and Mrs. Chinnamma George of the Kakkanattu family in Nellimattom. He kick-started his artistic career through his parish church choir after learning Tabala from the veteran Tabalist Mr. Babu Uriliyanikkal. For Soby, this was a turning point in his life when, at the age of 14, he began studying under Father Abel from Kalabavan, Kochi.

His collaboration with Kalabhavan as Director, Life Member, Recordist, Sound Engineer, Project Manager, Project Manager, and most importantly, his 20 years of experience as Ganamel-Mimix Team Coordinator is incredible. He has been given credit for the late Fr. Abel's Kalabhavan works too as he had helped in the production. Soby has extensive experience of working with national and international clients and knows how to handle the pressure.

Soby has been credited with many songs in Malayalam films and has released more than 3000 audio cassettes as well as more than 5000 cassettes on various other platforms. These experiences in Soby's life will be the turning point for the legacy that Late Father Kalabhavan left. The completion of these goals will pave the way for the ambitions that the Late Father Kalabhavan had and will provide rural inhabitants with enjoyment and perhaps make it more accessible in remote areas.
