Sabitha Jayaraaj

Sabitha Jayaraaj is a well-known Indian costume designer and actress who mainly works in the Malayalam Cinema. She was born on 10th November 1974 and started her career as a costume designer in the 90s. She has worked as a designer in nine Malayalam and Hindi movies. One of her movies, “Kannaki,” won her the ‘Kerala State Award’ for Best Costume Designer. Later, she did small movie roles and appeared in the lead role of the movie “Pakarnnattam” opposite Jayaram. She appeared in the short movie “Prakriti” was released in 2017, where she played the role of a photographer. The film’s story is narrated from the point of view of a photographer who is on a tour of Kuttanad. Sabitha also played the role of ‘Moly,’ a compassionate mother in Jayaraj’s award-winning film “Ottal.” 

She is married to the filmmaker Jayaraj and has collaborated with many of his works. They have two sons named Dhanu Jayaraj and Keshav Jayaraj.
