Kapil Kapilan was born on 4th September 1992. He is from Kottarakkara, in Kerala. He studied ‘Music, Engineering & Technology at Muzik Lounge School of Audio Technology.’ Kapil is a Music Director, Singer, Music Composer and a Playback Singer. He is also commonly known as Singer Kapil. Kapil’s father, CR M Pillai has supported him during his entire journey in his music career. Kapil Kapilan started his music journey by making covers of popular songs. He sang “Samjhawan”, a popular Hindi song. He then sang “Jaan Ban Gaye,” another popular Hindi song. He was a singer in Malayalam movies like Dhoomam(2023), Christy(2023), Sapta Sagaradaache Ello(2023) and Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham(2023).

Kapil Kapilan is commonly known for “Sita Ramam”, a Telugu film released in 2022; “Bachelor”, a Tamil film released in 2021; and “The Ghost”, a Telugu film released in 2022. Out of these 3 of his best works, he was recognised in one of the songs in the film Bachelor and rewarded with an International Award. He was awarded the “Best Playback Male Singer” for the song “Adiye” as a 2022 Winner, in SIIMA- Tamil.
