Harisankar Kalavoor, also known as Silsila Harisankar, is a man of many talents. Chief among them is that the gifted South Indian writer is known for composing the hit number ‘Oru Pakshi Polum.’ The versatile writer is also a well-known painter and musician. In his own words, Harisankar has been an avid reader since childhood. His journey towards becoming a writer began quite early when he was a teenager itself when he got interested in writing poems and stories. In 2001, he published his first book. Several years after that, his short stories and poems also received appreciation and found a place in various publications.
On completion of his graduation, the writer-cum-musician studied direction and scriptwriting at Kerala Film Academy. Later he had a stab at learning Carnatic music, keyboard and also studied painting. In addition to that, he made three music videos Yanthrapaat, Silsila, and Oru Pakshi Polum.
