Waryam Mast is a Punjabi Writer born on 15th April 1951 in a Singh Family in Chandigarh. He is also a Singer, Actor, and Lyricist. His Father used to sell Vegetables in the Village to run the family. Waryam Mast also sold Vegetables and Ice cream to study in the College. After working hard, he enrolled in the Sd College Barnala and finished his studies. The Guidance of Balwant Tiwari made him strong and ready to face the challenges in the way of theatre and films. Waryam Mast worked as a Script Writer in the film and Television division of Punjab. He acted in Various Punjabi films and Serials. He got selected in the U.P.S.E at the National level.

He wrote lyrics for movies. He produced films under the guidance of Shri S.B. Durga. The Scripts of the three films Chann Pardesi, Siri Hem Kunt Sahib, and Profile of Painter, written by Waryam Mast, were Awarded as National Films. In 1991, he joined the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting govt of India as the in-charge of four States – Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. He also served North East and Bengaluru for many years. He retired as a Joint Secretary and Drama Division in Delhi in 2011.
