Set Dresser Sets Props

A set dresser is someone who works with the props and on set furniture by designing it according to the script. He/she is responsible for all the props and how they are maintained for the film. Their main job is to get the right props depending on the script and scene. They work under a lead man or production designer. They must be creative and have a good eye at colors and how well they combine on screen.

A set dresser can helps in designing the set by rearranging the furniture and moving stuff to accommodate the camera equipment and other necessities. They work out with the Prop Department and scripting team and furnishings so as to get the right look for the scene in the film or TV show. Every scene has to look the same so as to not mess up the sequence of the film or confuse the storyline.
