Gundu Kalyanam, from being an ordinary Tamil boy to becoming an Indian Film Industry Director and Actor, has presented himself as one of the strongest and primary elements in the Tamil Film Industry. He started his career with Mazhalai Pattalam(1980). His active years in the industry were from 1980-2011. Some of his famous works include Akalmand(1984), Mela Thiranthathu Kadavu(1986), Nalla Nalla Pillaigalai Nambi(2011), and Thanga Magan(1983). He is also an active and influencing member at All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(AIADMK).
