He worked as an editor for the film, Nepaali, released in 2008. Mathan then worked as an editor for another film, Varnam, released in 2010. Mathan Gunadeva worked as a cinematographer for two other films. Such films are Aviyal, released in 2016 and Meeku Maathrame Chepta, released in 2019.
