Sherlin Seth

Sherlin Seth is an Indian model-turned-actor. She stepped into the foray of films with the Kollywood movie Kasu Mela Kasu Click to look into! >> Read More... , a comedy thriller directed by K.S. Palani,in 2018. But her biggest project so far is the lead role in the Malaysian Tamil film Unarvugal Thodarkadhai, an urban love story under the direction of Balu Sharma,which is yet to be released.

Sherlin was born on 14 January 1996, in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in Northern India, an only child to mother Sumi Sahi Seth and father Sandeep Seth, who works in the J&K government. After finishing her higher secondary in Carmel Convent School, Sherlin decided to follow her father’s footsteps and study engineering, about which she has always been crazy.

Her love for all things technical and desire to continue the legacy of engineering from her father made her join SRM University in Chennai to pursue B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She graduated in 2017. Even though she was a studious and nerdy kid all through her school and college years, she also had a knack for modeling. Sherlin was only seventeen when she first entered the glittery industry of models while doing her B.Tech, doing all kinds of advertisements and endorsing brands and other things like Dove Soap and Shampoo, Lima Hospital, Ashwini Hair Oils, etc. Then she was roped into the pageantry business too.

She was the acclaimed winner of the title Fbb Colors Femina Miss India Tamil Nadu in 2017 and even became a finalist in the Femina Miss India 2017 among the 30 finalists. She believes that an actor should be able to adjust and customize whatever role is thrown at her, that acting is not about oneself at all but about the character one is in. Her overpowering desire to do more substantial roles in movies has always had her seeking performance-based scripts and characters. Apart from acting and modeling, Sherlin is also a fitness enthusiast, a product from her love for kickboxing. She dubs herself a “gym freak” unabashedly. A typical Capricorn, the actor also adores animals, namely dogs and cats, more than humans. She has a cat named Pintu, who occupies her time when she is not shooting. She also loves traveling to different and beautiful places all over the world, as is manifested by her social media accounts, As of now, she hasn’t signed any more projects, but there are talks for her to do a Malayalam and a Telugu film as well.
